A 32-inch studio-scale replica of the A New Hope version of the ship. It combines a scratch-built body, original parts from period model kits, 3D-printed pieces and parts from the Fanhome Build Your Own Falcon.
A tribute to the car from the 1978 film Corvette Summer, built on a 1977 Corvette. The custom bodywork is done and it is nearly ready for paint. The finished car will differ from the film version in a few ways.
As with all of the original Star Wars models, the plant-on pieces on the escape pod were largely donor parts from assorted model kits, including a Saturn rocket, the Sealab and plenty of World War II vehicles. This version of the escape pod will be built using only period-correct, original model kits. It will not be painted, so the history of the build stays exposed in honor of the work of the original builders.
